There are 46 official huts in the Tararua forest park (including Bivs) which you can find on the DOC website.

Then there are then another 14 semi-official, to unofficial shelters which vary in quality. They range from decent, to what is arguably some left over hunters rubbish (you have to draw the line somewhere!)

How to use it?

Open the file here: Hut Bagging Spreadsheet

Make a copy of the file and save it to your Google drive. Do not try to edit the original. It will not work as it is locked.

To make a copy: Click the menu on the top right of the page (see photo below)

Next click on Make a copy (see photo below)

Then save it to your Google drive. You now have a copy which can now be edited.

To bag a hut ✅ the Checkbox to the left of each hut you bag to record your progress. The spreadsheet simply does the rest.
